On the 9th of July, our co-chairs Paul Howell MP and Diana Johnson DBE MP sent a letter to Oliver Dowden MP, Secretary of State of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. In this letter, they request a meeting with the Secretary of State to discuss new research highlighting the lack of charitable grant funding and community assets in ‘left behind’ neighbourhoods and the APPG’s plan to improve prospects in these areas.
